Report: Broadcast TV to outearn newspapers in ad dollars
According to estimates from private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson, broadcast TV will out-earn newspapers for the first time ever this year in the U.S., with broadcast TV expected to take in $51 billion versus $46.8 billion for newspapers. If VSS is correct, this will mark the first time newspapers have given up the top total ad revenue spot since the late 18th century. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter (8/5)
